Penny Warner
Penny is one of the friendliest and most prolific authors I know. With over 40 books for kids and adults she still finds time to teach, speak in schools, travel to conferences, and well...write! Kids will love her popular middle grade mystery series featuring the Girl Scouts of "Troop 13" as well as her collection of party and activity books. Whidbey Island Writers Association
The best writers' association on the west coast. Dedicated to helping writers through education, retreats and workshops, networking, and promotion, WIWA also hosts the Whidbey Island Writers' Conference, one I never miss. Visit the prettiest island in the Pacific Northwest while learning from renowned authors, publishers, agents, radio and television executives and songwriters. Check the website for conference details and scheduled events.

Kirby Larson's books
You'll love Kirby's stories. Click on the link to meet a wonderful author. Kirby teaches a writing for children class through The Institute of Children's Literature and appears regularly at workshops and conferences.
